With a few thoughtful tips on fitting the Peloton equipment into your space, you’ll soon discover that it’s possible to make room for the bike, even in the tightest spots.

Tips for where to put peloton bike in a Small Space

When working with limited room, it’s important to think of your bike as a practical décor piece, as suggested by set decorator and home décor expert Beth Kushnick. With small, space-friendly dimensions of just 2 feet by 4 feet, the Peloton can fit almost anywhere with slight adjustments to your home. One great suggestion is to position the bike in an alcove or swap out a living room chair to make space.

Another option is to slip the Bike behind your sofa for a more discreet setup. If you want to maintain some privacy while working out, consider using a folding screen to hide the Peloton, but keep in mind that exposing your Peloton could be the best motivation to use it more often.

Where Peloton Members Set Up Their Bikes

Many members of the Peloton community have found creative ways to set up their cozy workout nooks, often filled with inspiration and accessories that help keep them motivated and happy during their workout. One member, Jacki Jenkins, made the most of her 15×11-foot home office, which she shares with her husband. When it’s time for classes, she simply rolls the office chair out of the way and clears a little space, sometimes even shifting papers aside for floor workouts. Despite the clutter, she says she doesn’t let it bother her too much, as long as she can keep up with her routine.

Additionally, Jacki created room for her daughter’s toy bike, which she had painted to look like a miniature Peloton. Her little one loves to show off her muscles, often saying, “I’m strong like Mommy!”

PJ Copponi decided to place his Bike+ in an upstairs room that was originally used for storage. He and his partner decided that creating space for their Peloton was a key priority, even though the area needed some work. They were willing to compromise to make it happen. To fit the bike, PJ had to rearrange his closets, but once everything was set up, the space worked perfectly.

One of the best features of the Bike+ is its touchscreen, which rotates a full 360 degrees. This allows anyone working out on the floor to easily see the instructor from their side mat. There is also a convenient spot between the bike and the wall to store cycling shoes, resistance bands, foam rollers, and other accessories, ensuring everything is within reach while working out.

Lori Walker began using her Peloton in the dining room, but she had to turn it into her home office when the COVID-19 outbreak struck. Now, her Bike has a permanent residence in her master closet, a cozy spot that works well for her. Since Lori lives alone, she jokes that if she ever gets married, she’d expect her partner to make room for her Peloton too. “That would be in the pre-nup,” she laughs, adding a fun personal touch to her setup.

Holly Jensen has her Bike+ in her bedroom, tucked between her bed and a window. To take Bike Bootcamp classes, she simply swivels the screen to face the only available floor space across the room, on the other side of the bed. Sure, she has to sneak sideways past the bike sometimes, but she makes it work and finds a way to fit in her workouts without hassle.

Sharon Cooper faced the challenge of finding space for her Peloton when her family started learning and working remotely during the pandemic. What was once a playroom and crafting space had to be rearranged to accommodate the new routine. She moved the toys and craft supplies out, and brought in her bike, making it a central part of the room. Now, her weights and shoes are neatly placed on the Bike, and a stand holds her yoga mat, speaker, and heart rate monitor, keeping everything organized.

To add a personal touch, Sharon set up a two-tier shelf in front of the bike, where she stores her hat, headbands, towels, and a fan to keep her comfortable during workouts. She also added a few decorative items to keep herself motivated during classes. This thoughtful setup not only makes the most of the available space but also helps keep her workouts focused and enjoyable.
